January 30, 2010: I bought this as a christmas gift for my 5 year old niece and was worried it might be too abstract for her. No pink and blue blocks with cartoon characters on them. But she went right for it and challenges both herself and the adults around her to follow the patterns to make one complex tower after another. And when she's not around I'm happy to play with it for hours myself. The blocks are nicely weighted and sturdy. I can tell it will be a fun diversion for years to come and its challenge will grow with her.
