    January 22, 2006: this juornal is yes spendy but it is worth every cent! it has gold ridges, a black leather cover that has 'journal' imbeaded in the middle of the front cover, acid pages to hold ink better, water proof covers, cream colored pages, and smyth sewn. this book was origanaly from the 1900's. I think this journal outstanding and i would recommend this journal to all people who like to journal and people who are starting there first journal.
