Letterpress craftsmen of centuries past used to hide words within a block of text as a challenge to their peers. They called this past time vedere parola.
To celebrate this rich tradition Front Porch Classics has created WordSpot, a timeless game where players try to find hidden words among an arranged board of lettered tiles. The first player to use up all their markers finding words is the winner!
Easy to learn, yet challenging and different every time.
For ages 8 and up.

April 20, 2009: I purchased this game on a whim for a dollar at Barnes & Noble. I am very happy with my purchase. At first I thought, why is it only a dollar? Is this going to be a boring game? But the game was fun.My kids and I really enjoy it:)

April 13, 2009: This game is very easy to learn and plays fairly quickly. Only two people can play at a time. It would be very helpful if the game came with some kind of turntable (we ended up using a tray), but realize that the packaging would have to be a lot larger. It was fun for adults who like word games and also would be good for children to practice spelling and vocabulary.
