September 12, 2009: I bought this book (along with the Walter the cuddly dog toy) for my son's 5th birthday in August. From the moment he opened the present it was a hit! He loves to read anyway, and is a good reader for a 5yr old, but this book is by far his favorite. The only problem is my husband and I always want to squeeze the dog's belly too (if you don't know - the dog makes farting noises when pressed!)
This book is by Leap Frog and you can buy a 'pen' to help the child to read the book. Sold separately. I didn't get this, but I would imagine that it would really help a budding reader. I recommend buying the dog along with the books - there are a few other books in the 'Walter' series.A 'must' for any child with a sense of humor (parents too!!)
