Could have been betterby just_some_guy

August 17, 2009: As another reviewer mentioned, the instructions are ambiguous at best, so you're better off reading through the instructions and then changing them so that they make sense to you. For instance, we don't place our potions facedown in front of us, we just hold onto them so that we always have four cards in our hand. Apprentice challenges are won by whomever is closer to completing the potion. Ties can be broken by tied players discarding a card and redrawing, if that doesn't win it, then the challenge is lost. I think if the designers actually sat through a game with their instructions, they would have seen the obvious problems, but I guess the chance to make our own rules can be a good thing, too.

April 13, 2009: The game is a creative way to use logic. My children, ages 7 and 10, had a great time playing with it.
