January 23, 2010: When it comes to Lego kits for my kiddo's there are a few discriminators I apply every time - piece selection (playability, count & variety), build instructions, piece cost per $10.00. This kit goes above and beyond in the first two. It has a variety of plans which have spurred my kiddo's on to making their own designs. There is a very nice variety of standard brick/plates and special pieces (a skeleton horse - now that's cool!). I'd definitely recommend this set to anyone w/ 4 to 8 year olds.
