October 26, 2009: This was a fun toy for my son. The enclosed booklet was full of interesting facts that made this a great educational-gift after the assembly was completed. Now he wants to collect the entire set.
I thought that it was a bit expensive for the number of pieces that you get and the fact it really only gets built once. But my son likes it, displays it proudly on his bookshelf, and has memorized the factlets--so it was a great gift idea.
