March 04, 2008: It is a snap to learn Ingenius, even for younger children, but a bit harder to master it. The combination of colors and shapes make it possible even for the color-blind! It is fun to play as you advance along six different color tracks--but it is your LOWEST score that determines the winner! So, do you race ahead in one color only to lag in another and possibly loose? Or do you build evenly trying to stay ahead of the pack? The game requires strategic moves and a little bit of luck! The board is designed for the challenge to remain tight whether 2, 3, or 4 play. Highly recommended as a family gift!

December 19, 2007: This is a really brilliant abstract game that our family has been playing over and over again. It's not at all complicated but it just seems to have that magic ingredient X. It's also beautifully produced.
