June 19, 2009: I started reading Rolling Stone almost a year ago. The covers are what first brought me in, but the writing is what continued my interest. It is an amazing magazine for music fans all around. What differs Rolling Stone from other entertainment magazines is its maturity. Rolling Stone combines politics with music. Matt Taibbi writes hit after hit, and is one of the the greatest modern writers. Rolling Stone is like Time, Alternative Press, and People all in one.

December 25, 2008: Rolling Stone has been utter and total s--- since 1981, and that's being generous. Once a paragon of musical and cultural awareness and relevance, the magazine is an utter joke today. Anyone who regards this rag as worthwhile needs a serious lesson in what music, journalism, and writing is all about. Readers who are interested in real music journalism need to check out publications such as Magnet and Filter.
