May 16, 2008: Lucky is a great magazine for those who love new products and looks. When the magazine started, many of it's suggestions were fashion forward and affordable. Sadly, as it has increased in popularity so has the listed prices. Other than that, it is still a great source for adding to your look. It always includes instructions for how to buy clothes (such as what to look for in a fitted blazer or a full skirt). This is especially helpful if you aren't a size 0 model. It is a wonderful source for new beauty products. They try to be ethnically inclusive so I have found some really good product lines such as Lush, Carol's Daughter, Korres, etc. They include all kinds of make-up tricks as well. They also will often include organic and environmentally sound products too. The magazine also features shopping guides to various cities. I have found this to be IMMENSELY helpful when traveling. So far I haven't run into any problems like old or incomplete directions so it has been great to discover new places to shop when out of town. All in all, if you want clothes & beauty information without the romance advice or other stuff, then this is a great mag for you.
