This is the best!!
Kae Xherah, a pretty good cook., 07/10/2008 ![]()
The Cook's team tests recipes and equipment hundreds of times, to get to the best ones. And because they do not take advertising, they are not influenced by corporate America. This is a companion to America's Test Kitchen, the PBS cooking show. I have learned SOOO much and have really improved my cooking skills with this.
Also recommended: Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Cook's Country.

This is by far the BEST magazine for those who love to cook and for those who just want some new ideas. There is NO advertising in this magazine. They explain how they test and try new ideas on old recipies (i.e. like taking the fat out of meatloaf but keeping the same taste/texture, etc). They rate various kitchen items from spatulas to collanders, share cooking secrets, and give so many new recipies. Magazine is printed in black and white and inside the back cover all the 'featured' recipes are photographed in color. I truely enjoy reading this magazine from cover to cover. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who enjoys cooking even a little!
