January 30, 2010: This is great. The light is bright enough to light both book pages so I don't have to keep redirecting the light. The brigtness of the light really helps when your vision needs a brighter light for reading.

January 03, 2010: I have probably purchased at least a dozen of these covers, in various colors. The original "Periscope" cover is no longer available; this one is an updated version, and the book light is much better, plus it is no longer attached to the spiral-type spine that often collapsed. This spine is sturdier and should last longer. I love that the cover, book light, and bookmark are all in one - as do all the people I have given the cover to as gifts. It fits in a purse or tote bag perfectly, and is fantastic for using while commuting on the bus - as I do! While B&N only carries black at this point, you can purchase other colors directly from the manufacturer's website. The cover also comes in hardback size, as well.
