May 30, 2009: I bought this journal for the size and cover to be used as a travel journal. The band helps keep it bound in my backpack. The only thing I don't care for is the fact that it doesn't lay down flat when I am writing.

April 27, 2009: this was a sweet birthday gift for our daughter and it is very nice. The only drawback is that the pages loosen up fairly quickly which may not be the product so much as the person who is using the product.
