It is two centuries now that moleskine has been the legendary notebook of European artists and intellectuals, from Van Gogh to Henri Matisse, from the exponents of the historical avant-garde movements to Ernest Hemingway. The notebooks are bound in cardboard, a 'moleskine' cover and the acid free pages are thread bound. They also have an elastic closure and an expandable inner note holder made of cardboard and cloth and a removable card with the Moleskine history.

A Special Little Notebook
David, A reviewer, 04/18/2008 ![]()
I received this notebook as a gift. I was so pleased with the gift and thought it so special that it took me over a month before I would even write in it! I wanted to save it for something special. Finally I put the first mark in it and now I can't live without it. I find it the ultimate remedy for boring meetings. I just pull out this impressive-looking note book and begin jotting down notes - sometimes about the meeting - and doodling. I plan to purchase the Washington, D.C. "city book" today for my impending trip.
