August 29, 2009: I believe writing in a journal is important for posterity. My first journal was cheap, but it did the trick. I wanted something a little more formal this time around, but I still can't afford something great. I was so excited when I got this journal, and I can't wait to finish my other one, so that I may start this new one! I love the gold on the outside of the pages! The space for writing is perfect.

July 10, 2009: Got this as a gift for someone. I looked at a lot of other leather journals, the Italian leather ones bn also carries, which are beautiful, but bulky and a bit over the top in their design. I couldn't find this in store, so was a little skeptical getting it online, but so glad I did. This journal costs half as much and is much more practical. It is the perfect size for writing in and looks gorgeous. The leather feels really nice and the gilded edge adds a very nice touch. Still feels luxurious without being over the top or overwhelming. Feels and looks like something you can actually use. Very classic look, feels similar to Moleskine products. Can't wait to give this to my bf, best birthday present ever. P.S. the journal in the photo has a black bookmark, mine came with white. It doesn't bother me, but wanted to let you know just in case.
