Dedicated journal keepers will appreciate the old-world beauty and craftsmanship of this journal, which celebrates the fine art of calligraphy. With its ribbed genuine leather spine and corners, it has the feel of a centuries-old volume from the library of an Italian palazzo.

July 23, 2009: I was leery of buying this journal only because I am very picky. I don't want to write down cherished memories in a book that I find distasteful. I can say, however, that I am pleasantly surprised with this one. It is a bit smaller than I had assumed from the pictures but I don't mind. Even with nothing written in it as of yet, this book looks like it already holds vast accounts of history- very neat. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique journal-keeping experience, with that old-world touch that makes you feel as if you're writing for the ages.
